Healthy Harvest
Community Food Access Program
SAIC'S Healthy Harvest Community Food Access Program brings fresh, seasonal produce straight from family farms to you—making healthy eating easy and accessible. Created for churches, faith-based groups, local government agencies, and similar organizations looking to purchase produce (in box or bulk format) on behalf of their members or participants.
Are you a community organization interested in receiving food? We’d love to work with you! Email your information below. Once submitted, a team member will follow up to confirm details and discuss next steps.
-
We welcome food pantries, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, early childcare centers, senior-serving agencies, and other entities serving food-insecure individuals in the Sandhills region.
-
We offer fresh produce in individual boxes or bulk quantities, tailored to your organization’s needs and capacity. All food is sourced from family farms, with a strong preference for local producers whenever available. Our commitment is to provide high-quality, fresh products that support both community health and regional agriculture.
-
Yes, although sometimes grants and other forms of financial support enable us to provide food at lower or no cost to eligible community partners.
-
Currently, we offer delivery on an every 2 week or every 4 week basis. We’ll work with you to create a plan that fits your operations.
-
We do our best to accommodate preferences, but availability depends on what’s in season. We currently do not have the capacity for individually-tailored boxes, either.
